Somewhere between a cup of coffee and a half-finished WhatsApp voice note, my friend said something that stuck:
“You know, you could do this. Rather than work for your boss, you could go freelance instead. There have got to be lots of companies out there who need a freelance copywriter.”
She’d just launched her own business while on maternity leave. A leap that looked equal parts intriguing and inspiring. And that sentence? It sparked something. A nudge.
So I let the idea sink in. One month… two months…
A few conversations about the idea with some friends and family members.
And now, here we are.
Let me introduce myself
For those who don’t know me, I come from a marketing background, where I’ve spent over a decade working with words in one way or another. Blog posts, social media posts, website copy, marketing copy, product copy. You name it, I’ve done it.
I won’t wheel out the old cliché — “I’ve loved writing since I was a child” — but… it’s true, I have.
My first childhood dream job was to become a journalist, followed by novelist. Neither of those quite came to fruition, but I did work in editorial for a while, and even co-founded an online platform for creatives.
What Pixel Prose is all about
I suppose you could say my starting point is simple: create copy that works. And works because it’s rooted in who you are and what you stand for. I’m not about churning out content or chasing trends. Although let’s be honest, who can resist joining the odd one (hello, action figure Instagram trend).
Whether you’re launching a business, rebranding, or simply need someone to find the words you’ve been reaching for, I’m here for that.
I want to work with people who care deeply about what they do and need words that reflect that.
